Here are things I remembered after writing my trip report. Feel free to add others.
Saquatch!
Don't remember if it was the last or next to last day, but towards the end a man came out of the woods on one of the climbs in a bigfoot costume to frighten the riders...(Bob)
Snakebite!
One evening while preparing to retire, I looked down at my ankles and saw blood dripping from two small holes. It looked like I have been bitten by a snake. Of course, the truth was I had hit my foot on the chainring of my bike. But it sure did look real...(Bob)
Rootbeer!
I bought a rootbeer from the Rootbeer man. He has a truck with a tap on the outside and kegs on the inside. This year he sold 15 kegs at 150 glasses per key for $3 each. His cash register was made in 1932. (Kent)
Waltzing Matilda!
I knew the words. Marcus didn't. So I sang it for him all through one day. He may have gotten tired of it. (Bob)
Bananas!
One day all of the bananas were clustered around an ambulance parked on the left side of the road. There was someone down, but it wasn't a banana. The juxtaposition of the banana suits and the ambulance was surreal. (Jennifer)
The recumbent banana was very fast. (Kent)
Accordian man!
Earyl on the rain day. I saw a little old man sitting on the trunk of his car playing
an accordian. He was so cute sitting there saying hello to the stream of riders
and playing a song for us. (Marcia)
